I love finds like this!!! So let me break it down, here at Eye Wonder Films, Entourage is one of our favorite shows. Yes its well written, shot, acted, directed etc… But for those who watch it or have seen a few episodes, have you noticed how impeccable the choices of music are for each scene. After a show goes off your scouring hbo.com to find out what song was played. Well meet the man behind it all Scott Vener aka Broke Mogul. Here he shows the different feel that a different selection of music can bring to a scene. Check it out. I personally like the James Blake sample, it drew me in more unlike this choice. Also check out the previous post, each week he puts together a mix of all the songs from he weeks episodes. Enjoy
When making the decisions about which music we should use…I usually present 3-5 songs for each scene to our producers then we collectively decide which song makes final cut. Often times, we find reasons to like each song for different reasons. its really crazy how different each song can make the same scene feel. Last night, James Blake was definitely our first choice but this was a close 2nd for me. Curious what you guys think?
